Event Description

The Gympie Bioeconomy Forum is a pioneering initiative dedicated to spotlighting the remarkable potential of the bioeconomy in Gympie and neighbouring regions. This industry-focused event aims to showcase the current landscape and prospects within the bioeconomy sector.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn what the bioeconomy is, understand industry best practices and bioeconomy initiatives, network and build connections with potential bioeconomy partners, and explore how Gympie and neighbouring regions can lead the way with bioenergy.

What is the Bioeconomy
The bioeconomy refers to an economic system that utilises renewable biological resources from living organisms or their byproducts to produce goods, services, and energy. It encompasses a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, forestry, fisheries, biotechnology, and various related industries. The bioeconomy aims to reduce dependence on finite fossil fuels and non-renewable resources while promoting sustainable and environmentally friendly practices.
